16/04/2026 marks MERC (Multi Ethnic Running Club) 6th run with HARP, and spirits are high.
With the weather improving in the middle of April, there is a slow shift in the weather.
As a small group of 3 today, we experienced intervals of that warm weather from 15C to 16C in temp. WE certainly felt the breeze across Southend Jubilee Beach.
Running a total distance of 2.72km and an average pace of 6:20/km and a total moving time of 17:15, the group ended their session with a sprint finish just to add that surprise element of fun.
Antony proved that he has great speed and so did Ivona; they both made Ray keep up the pace.
We are planning to do the stairs of Westcliff, or as Ray calls them, the stairs of hell!. As well as doing an off-road session somewhere, Ivona and Antony really enjoyed the session, as did Ray.
